Dr Bradley Borges

GP & Assistant Clinical Director

Dr. Bradley Borges is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) and Assistant Clinical Director of Active Health Portland.

He obtained his MD from Deakin University, Geelong and has worked across Western Victoria including Portland District Health, Western Health and Joan Kirner Women’s & Children’s Hospitals. Prior to entering medicine he was a trained Microbiologist/Molecular Virologist.

Brad is well rounded in all aspects of General Practice but has a keen sub specialty interest in sports & musculoskeletal medicine. He has held the position of Head Doctor for the Portland Tigers Football Netball Cricket Club (PFNCC) since 2024. Brad has also completed further training in ultrasound guided corticosteroid injections and accepts referrals from other practices in town.

Brad contributes to training the next generation of medical students and GPs as a supervisor at Active Health. You might be asked by reception to consult with a student before seeing Brad. There are regular appointments during the week with no students if you wish.

Outside of GP work, Brad holds an affiliate position with Monash University. He is an active player/board member of the Portland Table Tennis Association and is a founding member of the Portland TCG Community. He also has his own podcast in the works with fellow GP Dr. Britt Butten.
