These are just some of the questions you may need answered before your long awaited trip. At Active Health Portland we have doctors who have a dedicated interest in travel health. Most South American, Asian and African countries require certain vaccinations to help protect against communicable infectious diseases. By booking an appointment we can identify which ones apply to you. Furthermore, many people are traveling with medications that require declaration on travel. Our GP’s can provide a travel letter as required for your destination.
Active Health is also proud to be an accredited yellow fever vaccination center. Dr Bradley Borges is able to provide vaccination/special passport with approved stamp that may be required to travel to certain countries. In the event you are unable to be vaccinated, he can also provide a medical exemption if you meet the exclusion criteria.
Only approved centers can purchase this vaccine and it is not available via a pharmacy or script. Since the vaccine is costly we only store a limited amount in our fridges at any time. We provide the vaccine at a cost of $200 to cover the purchase of the vaccine from the supplier. If you require one, please let us know beforehand so that we can check our stock and order any yellow fever vaccines prior to your appointment, as it can take a few weeks to arrive.
